I consider myself a home-grown farm girl. I am originally from Henning, MN where I grew up on a dairy farm 9 miles North of Parkers Prairie, MN. Yes, I know how to drive a tractor, milk cows, throw square bales and pick rocks. Growing up on a dairy farm I could play outside for countless hours and drink raw milk. As an infant through childhood I was constantly stricken with ear infections, everything from tubes in my ears to reconstructed ear drum surgery, loss of hearing and antibiotics after antibiotics. Chiropractic was not a part of my life back then but it sure is now!

Chiropractic discovered me in my early 20’s when I was working as a Licensed Dental Assistant in Fargo, ND. A local chiropractor invited the clinic to a lunch and learn workshop and introduced chiropractic to me. I started under care due to some new pains I was experiencing because of my job and thought I’d give chiropractic a try. I had always known I would continue my education but was torn between a Dentist (DDS) or Chiropractor (DC). The DC mentored me and showed me the beautiful stories of the profession. There was no turning back I wanted to become a Chiropractor.

 

Education & Memberships

I graduated from Henning High School, then proceeded to Central Lakes College (CLC) in Brainerd where I completed my training as a Dental Assistant. I worked as a Licensed Dental Assistant while going back to school for my Bachelors in Biology Emphasis Health & Medical Science at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM). I continued to Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN. Because I have a strong passion in whole family health and wellness, I have completed training from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and am certified to perform Webster Technique- Prenatal Chiropractic.

I am an active and proud member of the ICPA, ACA and Parkers Prairie Pride of Lions Club.

 

Outside the Office

I love spending time with my husband Will and daughter Raven. In the summer I tend to my flowers and perennial vegetable garden. My Minnesota bucket lists visit every Zoo and Zipline Adventure. My family and I love to ride around on the 4-wheeler and pick blackberries & morel mushrooms out of the woods. We love to travel to the Caribbean. We have a wonderful calico cat named “Mini”. Nicolas Sparks is my favorite author but I also love to read self-development, business, and art/science/philosophy books on chiropractic.
